ABOUT BEA
and her blog, inspired with the beauty of grief.
"It's how you set your mind" - Perhaps this phrase is somewhat cliché in our present world of mindfulness-preaching and the growing number of psychological studies on the benefits of intention setting. Despite it's truism or the credo's subliminal influence on one's idea of complacency, I am nevertheless devoted to the value this sentence conceptualizes - different every time when answered; beautiful and dark all the same.
I am Bea (pronounced, "bay-yah"), and I created solsetbea to serve as a vessel to project my soul-setting evolution. After the traumatic loss[es] of my brother and mother, respectively, I am constantly present with the idea of death and it's impact on the life it leaves. I made a promise to my loved ones that I will continue to live life to it's fullest, staying vulnerable to what makes me smile and cry every day, in hopes that I never waste every moment I live on for my dearest Justin and Tess. If anything more than the goal of self-catharsis, I hope my open diary may serve some purpose to my fellow grievers.
So, here I am, currently on a sabbatical in the Philippines - the motherland in which I was born, where I aim to learn more of not only who Bea is, but who we are; and the experiences that have influenced, and will continue to inspire my soul.
